2005: Revamping bar mill
ARcelorMittal Rodange & Schifflange S.A,
awarded the order for the modernisation of its Bar Mill - C
to Danieli Morgårdshammar, Sweden.

The plant modernisation consists of six new finishing P600 series housingless stands with surrounding equipment such as: shears, loopers, and three sets of new guiding equipment for the complete mill. The modernisation also includes Danieli Morgårdshammar innovative four slit rolling technology that will enable considerable increase of production, with the target to achieve a speed of 18 m/s.

The plant is designed to produce 8-63.5 mm deformed bars in low & medium carbon steels at the maximum rated capacity of 130 t/h.

Plant start-up is foreseen in the first half of 2005.             http://www.morgardshammar.se
